I wasn't in Africa, but the animals I had seen so far, this day, made me feel
like I was. I had seen Eland, Scimitar Oryx, Gemsbok, Wildebeest, and a few other

| We
had to slide back down to the horses and head back to the corral in the waning
light. This seemed to be okay with the horses as we had to keep reining them in
to keep them from breaking into a trot in the darkness. As we rode, I reflected
on the day's hunt. Lots of luck on seeing animals, not much on shooting, but still
an enjoyable day in great hunting country. As I rocked back and forth in the saddle...
